Writing Prompt #6 - Grow As We Go

If you haven't listened to  Ben Platt's album Sing to me Instead then I suggest you give it a go.  It is a very emotive album that has made me think about and question the range and intensity of emotions that my characters could be feeling.

The below song is a real heart breaker that I'm sure many of our characters can relate to.  Most stories carry an element of love even if it isn't the main plot, these love plots can take a variety of different paths that don't always end in happiness for everyone.

Don't be afraid to take your stories away from a traditional happy ending, you can conclude your story even if some of your sub plots don't necessarily end how your readers want them to.  It can make for a compelling and more realistic conclusion.
