Nano Prep Update - Plot Outline

So a few days ago I posted my first 'how to' which you can read here.  It is a How to Plan a Novel post, it's my strategy to planning my Nano novel this year.

Stage one of the plan is to write a sentence that summarises the overarching plot line.  A broad statement that encompasses the whole story.  I'd love to find out how your prep is going or what your stage one sentences are.  Let me know in the comments below.

Here is my stage one sentence.
A young girl orphaned at birth discovers a veiled world of magic and supernatural creatures when she learns that she may be the key to protecting the world from a long forgotten evil as demons threaten to break through from the Void.

NaNo Prep 2018 Begins

So if you don't know about NaNoWriMo and you want to be a writer you have to check it out.  It is an annual, community writing event where writers of all levels come together to challenge themselves to achieve a predetermined word count between 1 - 30 November.  Every year this begins in September with NaNo Prep, the organisers of NaNoWriMo provide us with a lot of writing resources and challenges on the run up to November so that when we hit Day 1 of the challenge we should have a plot ready to go and can focus on writing every day to hit our word count. 1837 , Charles Goodyear obtains his first rubber patent. Charles Goodyear was an American chemist who developed rubber.  His first patent was received in 1837 and he later went on to receive further patents relating to rubber including the patent for vulcanised rubber in 1844.
